Karen Mirsky has been exclusively practicing criminal defence since 2005. She represents a variety of clients before all levels of court for offenses ranging from drug trafficking, possession, and fraud, to assault, firearms and other criminal matters. She is confident, experienced counsel who fights for her clients at every stage of the criminal process.
Ms. Mirsky believes a lawyer’s job does not end on the court house steps. She maintains ties to local organizations that provide advocacy and support to people with mental health issues, addictions and gendered violence, and provides legal education and advice to individuals exercising their rights to engage in civil disobedience. She is committed to social justice, women’s and LGBTQ issues.
Ms. Mirsky has served on the Board of Directors for Pivot Legal Society for four years and with PACE Society for three. She has appeared on local and national media to speak on issues relating to women and the sex trade.
